§ 28-81. Meters, pipes and water fixtures to be available for inspections.

(a)

All water meters, water pipes, water fixtures and appliances and appurtenances on private premises connected to the city water system shall be open to inspection by authorized city personnel at all reasonable times. Any leaky service pipe leading to a consumer's point of usage shall be promptly and properly repaired upon notice being given to such consumer by the city authorities, or water service shall be immediately discontinued to such consumer.

(b)

If, upon any inspection by authorized city personnel, a cross-connection as defined by the Missouri Division of Health is found, such cross-connection shall be broken immediately or water service to such consumer shall be summarily discontinued.
