§ 5-2. Enforcement of building regulations.

It shall be the duty of the building commissioner to stop the erection of all buildings within this city that may be or have been started that do not comply with the building regulations of the city, and for this purpose, he is authorized and directed to arrest any person who refuses to discontinue work on any building, residence or dwelling when ordered to do so.
