§ 21-15. Appointment of police personnel board members.

  • Members of the police personnel board (hereinafter referred to as the "board") shall be appointed by the mayor with the consent of a majority of the elected members of the city council. Of the initial five (5) members, three (3) shall be appointed for a term of one (1) year and two (2) for a term of two (2) years. A member of the board may be removed for cause and in the same manner as prescribed by section 2-33 for the removal of other city appointed officers. Members of the board shall serve until their successors shall have been appointed and qualified.
