§ 5-20. Fees.

(a)

The words square foot as used in this article shall mean the square footage of the floor space for each job for which a building permit is required as determined by those building plans or drawings submitted by the applicant for a building permit in accordance with section 5-17 of this article.

(b)

The applicant for a building permit shall be required to pay to the building commissioner a fee as an issuance fee for each and every permit required by section 5-15 of this article as follows:

Building permit fees: The fee for issuance of a building permit for all new buildings and additions shall be set by the following formula: (type of construction) times (square footage) times (fee multiplier of .003). When two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00) in construction costs is reached, the fee multiplier for all additional costs will drop to (.0015). The fee for issuance of a remodeling permit shall be set by the following formulas. For residential (type of construction) times (square footage) times (.0015). The fee for issuance of a remodeling permit shall be set by the following formulas. For commercial (type of construction) times (square footage) times (.00075). Cost per square foot will be taken from the current International Code Council Building Valuation Data Report.

Fee for moving of structure: The fee for a building permit for the removal of a building or structure from one (1) lot to another or to a new location on the same lot shall be at the rate of seventy-five cents ($0.75) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the estimated cost of moving plus the cost of new foundations and all work necessary to place the building or structure in its completed condition in the new location.

Fee for demolition of structures: The fee for a permit for the demolition of a building or structure shall be at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) for each five hundred (500) square feet of volume of building structure. Minimum thirty dollars ($30.00).

Additional fees: The minimum fees for issuance of these permits is as follows:

Blasting	60.00 Monthly, or $600.00 Yearly

Conditional use permit	$150.00 plus attorney's fees occurred
BOZA	150.00 plus attorney's fees occurred
Rezoning	150.00 plus attorney's fees occurred
Boundary adjustment	150.00 plus attorney's fees occurred
Lot subdivision	100.00 plus $100.00 per lot divide plus attorney's fees occurred
Lot combination	100.00 plus $100.00 per lot(s) combined plus attorney's fee occurred
